Grimminger enters the 3rd generation!
The precision grinding company once founded by Rupert Grimminger in 1969 is changing hands in its 55th year of existence. Andrea and Oliver Riedmüller hand over Grimminger Schleiftechnik GmbH to Roman Lerchenmüller on 01.07.2024, thus ensuring the continued existence of the traditional company from Illertissen.
Since taking over the company in 1997, Andrea and Oliver Riedmüller have developed the second-generation company into an absolute specialist on the market. Out of attachment to the company and its long-standing employees, the two of them became involved in the continuation of the company at an early stage and thus established contact with Roman Lerchenmüller, who in turn took over his parents' company, Lerchenmüller Systeme GmbH, in Bernbeuren am Auerberg in the second generation in 2016. Lerchenmüller Systeme GmbH was founded in 1990, initially as a contract grinding shop, and has since established itself on the market as a manufacturer of precision parts and semi-finished products made of carbide, ceramics and other difficult-to-cut materials. Both companies now operate under the umbrella of PROCISION Holding GmbH and complement each other perfectly in terms of their capabilities.
“As a group of companies, we are now uniquely broadly positioned in the field of cylindrical grinding technology and can offer our customers complete solutions from a single source across an extensive range of materials,” explains Roman Lerchenmüller. The main focus is initially on integrating both companies and their processes into the group. “Together, we can boast over 90 years of experience in the field of grinding technology - someone will have to imitate us,” says the new owner proudly.
